Start a career that truly matters.
The Nurse Jackie Training Academy prepares compassionate people for work in home and community care, taught by the team behind a working Brampton home care provider, so what you learn in class is what families actually need at home.
About the Academy
Training built inside real home care.
The Nurse Jackie Training Academy is the education arm of Nurse Jackie Homecare Inc., a private home and community care provider serving Brampton, Mississauga and the Greater Toronto Area. Every day our caregivers help seniors and families with personal care, homemaking, companionship and respite, and every lesson in our programs comes from that work.
The Academy was founded by Jacqueline “Jackie” Anderson, President & CEO of Nurse Jackie Homecare, a Nurses Assistant (US) and Personal Support Worker (Canada) with more than 25 years of frontline healthcare experience. Jackie built the Academy to give new caregivers the skills, confidence and values she looks for when she hires: safety, respect, dignity and genuine kindness.
Our promise to students is the same one we make to families: “Let’s Treat Your Loved Ones Like Family.”
Why train with us
Taught by a working agency
You learn from people who schedule, supervise and deliver care in client homes every week, not from theory alone.
Small, in-person classes
HSW classes meet in person at our Brampton office, so you practise skills hands-on with real feedback from your instructor.
Real practicum experience
Three weeks of supervised practicum let you put your learning to work before you graduate.
Job-ready essentials included
The HSW fee includes First Aid & CPR certification and your background check—two things employers ask for first.
